The first sin was pride.
“I want what I want, and I want it when I want it!”
“What do you mean I am not as important as I think I am or know less than you?”
“I deserve what you have just because I don’t have it and I know more than you just because I am me!”
And of course, my all-time favorite…
“I believe in God, but I don’t care what he says, I want to do it my way.”
These are the same types of conversations that Satan had with God before Satan created a revolt in heaven and was cast out.
Satan was punished, cast out of heaven, because he chose to rebel against God.
Satan stands in rebellion against God, his creator and ours. When we choose to live in rebellion against God, we live knowing that one day there will be punishment waiting for us. However, when come to our Creator and seek reconciliation and forgiveness, we are made white as snow.
Today I have read one disgusting article after another of rebellion. A man who has said he doesn’t want to be a man, so he decided to call himself a woman. We are born with sexual orientation decided. It was not up to us. There, I believe is where the problem rests. WE didn’t get to choose, and so because of a rebellious spirit, we take matters into our own hands and change what God made. If you are a man and take estrogen, yes it will deplete testosterone but that does not make you a woman. You were born with male reproductive parts and so you are a man. God does not make mistakes; he never says oops. We however do, so it is a bent to perversion that drives a man to deplete what God gave him to have what he desires over God’s will.
If a woman takes testosterone, yes it will deplete estrogen, but that does not make her a man, we can not take matters into our own hands and decide for ourselves what God has created to be incorrect. God is the master designer and makes no mistakes. His ways are perfect, and they are higher than ours. The good Lord said He had created male and female in His likeness. The Father, Son and Holy Spirt came together to decide this very thing.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. – Genesis 1:27
The Lord also said that a man and woman would leave their father and mother and the two should become one. These are the parameters for holy matrimony created by God himself. This does not include same sex marriage. These things are unholy in God’s eyes.
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. – Genesis 2:24
The matter of “pro-life” or “pro-choice” is considered subjective to a person’s opinion. However yet again man has deemed he is smarter than his Creator! I have heard many say that they don’t care what God thinks. No one is going to tell them what they can and cannot do! Here is the truth: God is always greater, His ways are higher, and the creation – that being you and I – are always less than the Creator. As a believer, I will not apologize for my belief and what the Bible says about abortion is clear. Abortion is murder!
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. – Psalm 139:13-16
You may say that it is your own body, and you can do with it what you want. I will disagree! That child growing inside of you is not your body! It is in fact another life, another human being that God has created and furthermore entrusted you to take care of! The truth is abortion ends the life of another human.
You shall not murder. – Exodus 20:13
I will make it clear: God said the only unforgivable sin is the blaspheme the Holy Spirit. That means to deny the Spirit of God and to renounce faith and belief in Christ as the Son of God and as our Lord and Savior. This is in truth what Satan, Lucifer, did when he told God he would not worship Him and that he, Satan, wanted God’s place of position in Heaven. Satan believed that he deserved God’s throne! This was rooted in shear pride.
“I am the man!”
“I got this!”
“You can’t tell me what to do!”
“I know you are God, but I want what I want!”
In this we are saying I am my own god, and I am going to make my own choices. It will always end in disaster. Hey, we might be happy doing our own thing own earth for awhile. We may live the high life and enjoy our parties and everything we own now. But there will come a day when we will have no choice but to bow before the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.
…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. – Philippians 2:10-11
Our world is in rapid decay, but judgement of souls should not come from us. We as humans make bad decisions every day, what makes us think we have the upper hand in deciding matters such as salvation?
So, what will your choice be, to live the high life now, doing your own thing, making your own rules, or will you submit to the One who created you? It is God’s desire that you come to Him and live a life in eternity with your Creator.
