Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? – James 2:5
Though we may want to be rich and have material gain, God is not in favor of this mindset. Worldly riches will often obstruct our vision of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.- Matthew 19:24
God has chosen the poor in spirit, those who don’t seek worldly gain, those who seek Christ as their Savior to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
